Saga of Valor & Supreme Sacrifice

During the night of 4–5 December 1971 at Longewala in the Thar Desert, Major Kuldip Singh Chandpuri held the fortified dunes with his company against overwhelming Pakistani armor. Moving from bunker to bunker, he inspired his men to hold through the night until the Indian Air Force Hunter jets arrived at dawn to decimate the enemy brigade.
