Saga of Valor & Supreme Sacrifice

On 25 April 2014, Major Mukund Varadarajan led an anti-terror cordon in Shopian. Crawling through an orchard under heavy fire, he charged an outhouse where terrorists were firing from. Despite sustaining severe bullet and shrapnel injuries, he eliminated three top militants before collapsing from his wounds.
